Women of WiN
Peggy Tees
Company: Ontario Power Generation
Peggy works as a FLMa for maintenance procedures at OPG’s Darlington plant. In this role, she is responsible for writing and revising maintenance procedures and overseeing the writing and revision of procedures by others.
What Peggy loves most about her job is “the ability to use skills and knowledge gained in one position to move onto other positions.” She feels that she is always growing and building upon her past experiences and gets great satisfaction from being able to share her skills and knowledge with others. Peggy began her career after graduating from Mohawk College as an Electronics Engineering Technician.
The greatest influence in Peggy’s life has been her father who she says taught her to “always trust a person until they prove otherwise” and to “always take everything apart and find out how it works.”
Peggy was inspired to get involved with WiN because she believes “it is time to pass on some of what I have learned as a woman in the trades for over 20 years.”
As created Sept. 21, 2009.
