Pamela Schwartzentruber is currently employed as a First Line Manager in Facilities and Contracts at Bruce Power. In her role she is responsible for the mobilization of people and resources in a way that promotes efficiency, productivity and teamwork. She is a key partner is project planning when in comes to office refurbishments and new office constructions. Additionally, she provides support for office equipment contracts and oversight on the food service contracts and transportation contracts.

Pamela admits her favourite part of her job is the variety of work and the challenges associated with meeting deadlines and developing creative solutions to meet client expectations.  Work that she is most proud of is developing her new Facilities Services Specialists team to deliver superior customer services. Furthermore Pamela gets great satisfaction out of mentoring others and sharing her knowledge with new, up and coming leaders.
 
Pamela’s academic credentials include: a diploma in Nutrition Management and active membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Managers, Honours diploma in Therapeutic Programming and is provincially certified in Facility Management. She has also acquired a BA in Health Administration and is currently pursuing a Masters in Leadership.  Pamela has served as an Education Consultant for over 8 years in Nutrition Management programs and Senior Management programs. Pamela is also a trained surveyor whereby she actively conducts reviews on college nutrition management programs.

Working as a First Line Manager, Pamela enjoys the personal satisfaction of seeing her ideas come to life as well as working to develop and mentor her team. Given the opportunity to speak to today’s youth Pamela would say “find a career you are truly interested in and pursue it passionately; then success will follow.”

Pamela was inspired to join WiN when she realized there was an opportunity to network and learn from other women working in the nuclear industry. She enjoys being a WiN member, learning from a highly skilled workforce and also sharing her own knowledge to other members. She credits WiN for giving her a broader understanding of the nuclear industry and the challenges women face.

In her spare time, Pamela enjoys spending time with her family, who she admits had the largest influence on her career choice. She also likes to travel, play water sports and go horseback riding.
