Women in Nuclear - WiN Canada

Over the past 30 years Barbara has worked at the Bruce site in various positions. Currently as the Manager of Community Relations for Bruce Power, she is responsible for promoting the education and awareness of nuclear power as well as the corporate sponsorship program, corporate events, and fundraising.
 
What Barbara likes most about her job is the opportunity to interact with the community.  Barbara’s involvement with The Living Snow Fence, a project where trees are being planted along the major routes to the site to allow for safer winter driving, has been one of the most rewarding projects in her career.

Barbara’s involvement with WiN started when she recognized it as a forum where she could have the opportunity to influence other women in the industry to be the best they can be.  Since becoming a member, she has been fortunate to interact with many talented women and she has made a great deal of life long friends.

Barbara is currently the Chair of the WiN-Bruce chapter and is a member of the WiN-Canada Board. She is one of the founding members of WiN-Canada.
