Women in Nuclear - WiN Canada

Alexanne Pizycki currently works as a Lead Nuclear Auditor for E.S. Fox Ltd. At work, Alexanne is responsible for internal audits and external vendor audits. Alexanne says the best perk about her job is getting the chance to meet other people in the industry. Thus far, Alexanne’s most rewarding project has been working on the Bruce Power Unit 1 and 2 restart project.

Alexanne received technical training at Niagara College. She is a certified ASME Lead Auditor. 

Alexanne’s father, who also works in the nuclear industry, originally inspired her interest in the field. Part of the personal satisfaction she gets from her job, Alexanne says, stems from learning new things and improving on old processes. In regards to Alexanne’s advice to the youth, she says, “Just because someone tells you, you cannot achieve something does not mean it’s true.”

Alexanne decided to become a member of WiN so she could meet other women in the industry. She says she enjoys networking with other women from WiN. WiN, she says, has inspired her to excel her future in the nuclear industry.

In her spare time, Alexanne enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 year-old son.
