WiN raises money for Goderich relief efforts

August 29, 2011

It was a great sun-shiny day on Friday, August 26th, 2011 as four volunteers from WiN-Bruce ran the putting contest at Bruce Power’s Hawthorne Cup. Cheryl McCulloch, Carolyn Menage, Kate McKenzie and Cheryl Cottrill watched as golfers tried their luck at putting through a target to obtain the highest score. “It was a great opportunity to educate the Bruce Power staff on the many contributions that WiN is making to the nuclear industry while they waited to putt,” said Cheryl Cottrill, Executive Director of WiN-Canada.

Over $630 was raised from the putting contest which will be given to Goderich for their relief efforts after the devastating tornado that ripped through that town on Sunday, August 21st.

Way to go WiNners!
