            How can you be a better Global Citizen?

On January 23, 2009, learn how.

            Engineers Without Borders (EWB) invites you to take part in
Canada's largest international development (ID) conference by
participating in Collaboration Day @ EWB National Conference 2009.

            In eight short years, EWB has become one of Canada's most
respected development organizations, combining the rigorous
problem-solving expected from engineers with a sustainable approach to human
development. Our 4-day, annual National Conference has grown into the largest ID
conference in Canada attracting academic and professional leaders from
across the nation.

            Professionals in the engineering and international
development industries are invited to participate in the conference by attending
Collaboration Day on January 23rd, 2009 - a day of industry-focused
programming that allows professionals to investigate and discuss
development and sustainable design issues through seminars, workshops and lectures
facilitated by ID experts. Previous conference keynote speakers have
included General Romeo Dallaire, Stephen Lewis, James Orbinski and Ralph
Nader to name a few. J ust one of the great speakers confirmed for this
year's Collaboration Day is Jim Balsillie, co-CEO of Research In Motion.

            If you have ever:
            *been interested in working overseas;
            *been interested in sustainable design;
            *been interested in using your engineering/technical experiences to help solve long-term human development issues; or
            *considered yourself socially minded and care about those
around you - locally and globally

            Collaboration Day could be a great place for you as you will be
surrounded by hundreds of professionals and academics with similar passions.
You can learn, share and be inspired.

            Collaboration Day is being hosted jointly by EWB's Waterloo and
Toronto Professional Chapters on Friday, January 23rd, 2009 at the Delta
Meadowvale in Mississauga, Ontario. Registration for the event is now
open.

Space is limited so early registration is advised to avoid
disappointment.

Find more information about this event and how to register by following

            We hope to see you there!
