Monday was full of mmmm…chocolate and delicious chemistry. We learned the melting point of different kinds of chocolate and the tempering process that you go through to make chocolates. Who knew that learning science and engineering in university could help you get a job as a chocolate scientist? We even got to taste test the chocolate samples.

We learned about the acidity of different types of candy and how to compare ingredient labels to check for things like sugar content. We also learned how to use candy to test CO2.

We made some bubble gum and chocolates. All in all a most delicious day!

We finished off the day by making flower pens.

Check out the pictures below of our campers and their leaders.
