Women in Nuclear - WiN Canada

The WiN-Eastern Ontario (EO) chapter encompasses the geographic area that stretches from North Bay to Ottawa along the highway 17 corridor. At this point our local chapter meetings occur only on site at the Chalk River Laboratories (CRL), however members are encouraged to join from outside CRL as information is shared with all WiN EO members through an email distribution list. The chapter lead as of 2009 December is Shelley Rolland-Poruks who works in the Site & Community Affairs Office at Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd’s Chalk River Laboratories. Chapter meetings occur quarterly and members are encouraged to bring ideas forward for guest speakers and ways in which WiN EO members can network with women and girls within the chapter and in the community.
