It is National Volunteer Week in Canada and I want to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers in Women in Nuclear (WiN) Canada who keep the organization going strong. So to all our board members, chapter chairs, chapter leading team members, mentors who attend Skills Canada events, volunteers at GIRLS Science Club/Camp, volunteers who organize our conference and all our members who contribute to WiN’s success, thank you!

Without you WiN would not exist. This year’s theme for National Volunteer Week is Volunteers: Passion. Action. Impact. WiNners are coaches, mentors, advocates, activists and champions who all have great passion. They step up when called to action. And they have a great impact on the future of our industry, encouraging young people to take math and science and helping one another be successful in a male-dominated industry.
